President Murmu extends greetings on Parsi New 12 months | India News – Instances of India- Newslength


NEW DELHI: President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday prolonged her greetings on the event of Navroz- the Parsi New 12 months.
Navroz Mubarak to all the countrymen, especially the Parsi brothers and sisters. The Parsi community through their hard work, dedication and entrepreneurship has contributed significantly to the development of the nation,” she stated in a tweet.
“I wish that this auspicious occasion of Parsi New Year brings prosperity, peace and harmony in the lives of all of us,” she added.
Earlier on the eve of the Parsi New 12 months, she stated in a message, “…The inclusive culture of India inspires all the citizens to live together in harmony. May this special occasion of Parsi New Year bring prosperity, peace and harmony to our lives and strengthen our commitment towards mutual brotherhood.”
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar additionally greeted individuals on the eve of Navroz and stated that the pageant displays the spirit of fraternity and compassion.
“I convey my heartiest greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the auspicious occasion of ‘Navroz’, which marks the beginning of Parsi New Year,” stated the Vice President.
He lauded the contribution of the Parsi neighborhood in India and stated that they’ve made invaluable contributions to the expansion and growth of the nation.
“Celebrated with traditional fervour and gaiety, Navroz reflects the spirit of fraternity and compassion. The Parsi community in India, though small in number, has made invaluable contributions to the growth and development of the nation, and they hold a very special place in the cultural mosaic of India. May the festival of ‘Navroz’ bring good health, happiness and prosperity in our lives,” he added.
The Parsi New 12 months which is also called Navroz is well known to mark the start of the brand new Persian calendar.
Within the Persian language ‘Nav’ means new, and ‘Roz’ stands for the day, i.e., ‘new day’.
