Greater than 2.36 crore nationwide flags value over Rs 6 crore had been procured by totally different authorities departments and states from public shopping for portal GeM from July 1 to August 15, in response to an official knowledge.

The Authorities e-Market (GeM) was launched on August 9, 2016 by the commerce ministry to create an open and clear procurement platform for presidency consumers.
The platform is open for procurement by all authorities consumers — central and state ministries, departments, public sector enterprises, autonomous establishments and native our bodies.
“By virtue of being an online platform it was possible for GeM to rapidly onboard sellers and meet very large requirements for an item that has had no history of procurement at such a scale. The team at GeM regularly interacted with buyer entities to ensure that the procurement process was smooth, and delivery was made in time,” GeM CEO P Ok Singh stated.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday had stated that public response to his authorities’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ marketing campaign is a sign of the revival of the nation’s collective conscience and its energy, which even “big socialists and experts of social science” can not think about.
The prime minister had given a name on July 22 to strengthen the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ motion by hoisting or displaying the nationwide flag at properties.
As many as 4,159 sellers have registered on the GeM platform to produce the flags.
