Two extra individuals died of electrocution in separate incidents on Monday whereas placing up the nationwide flag for hoisting in Jharkhand, taking the demise depend in such incidents since the day past to 5, police mentioned.
Three of a household died in an analogous incident in Ranchi on the eve of Independence Day on Sunday.
The recent incidents occurred in Bokaro and Dhanbad districts when the nationwide flag was being put up for hoisting in the course of the day.

“The man died when the pole came in contact with a high-tension wire, while a constable and an office-bearer of the Policemen’s Association received minor injuries in the incident,” Bokaro Metropolis Deputy Superintendent of Police Kuldip Kumar informed PTI.
Three members of a household, all of their twenties, died of electrocution whereas fixing the tricolour on the roof of their home in Arsande village in Kanke block of Ranchi district on the day past.
